David Wells pitched a complete game as the Tombstone Huckleberries topped the
Santa Fe Trailer Bitches by a score of 2 to 1 at the ballpark.
In the 4th inning Tombstone scored 2 runs. The key at-bat was by Shawn Green
who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he smashed a two-run homer
(his 24th of the season). Neither team managed to score after the 4th
inning.
The victory went to Wells(10-7) who went the distance allowing 1 run. Jake
Westbrook(9-8) suffered the loss. He pitched 4 and 2/3 innings and
surrendered 6 hits and no walks.
